Emily’s choreographic work is powerfully articulate, often bringing personal subjects to life in a universal way with depth & daring.

Visually exciting, crafted & performed with a sensitivity that quietly encourages audiences to loose themselves in the rich movement and physical ideas brought to life with Emily’s vision through the dancers & artists she works closely with. Emily choreographs for stage, screen & site.

New Work 2019

An extraordinary experience of ordinary, everyday sound

A new performance work highlighting hearing loss as an under discussed issue from both a personal & universal perspective. In My Head will be an interdisciplinary work performed by a dancer, an actor & sound artist, directed & choreographed by Emily Alden, conceived & created with Catherine Lake.

Conceived & tested earlier this year through Creation Space (HFC), currently in development, supported by an Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice. Her creative mentors are Theo Clinkard & Rosemary Lee.
