PHOTOGRAPHY
Emily’s photographic practice began as a pastime, documenting her travels and touring.
Over time it has grown into a significant part of her artistic work, with a particular focus on dance portraiture, documentary photography, and the natural world. Photography became central to her practice during a research-focused project supporting her choreographic development across mainland Europe, as well as in London and Leeds, UK.
In 2024–25, an Arts Council Developing Your Creative Practice grant supported ATLAS, a project marking her return to creative work after focusing on family life. The project enabled her to expand and refine her visual practice, deepening her passion for directing dancers and working quietly within other artists’ processes to capture movement and dancers in motion.
Updated portfolio is currently in the making.
